| About: | We are pleased to invite you to the LA Open 2020 Cricket Tournament! This exciting and action packed tournament will be played during the Independence Day weekend (July 1st to 5th) at the Woodley Park Cricket Fields in Sunny Los Angeles, California. We will host this tournament at the world-class real turf pitches and facilities of Woodley Park in Van Nuys, CA . Woodley Park which has become a Shangri-La to cricketers around the world has played host to several high profile cricket matches, tournaments and cricketers. From hosting an India vs Australia match in 1999 featuring VVS Laxman and Adam Gilchrist, India great Virender Sehwag playing a tournament in 2007, the Hollywood Ashes played every year where Tinseltown's expatriates come to play as they did since the 1930s to as recently as last year hosting the ICC World Qualifiers and USA T20 Selection Camp. This tournament will be conducted in the popular T20 format and is expected to see a number of top Regional, American and International cricketers involved. All matches will be streamed 'live' on CricClubs and we are promising a lot in terms of hospitality and entertainment. What we're also promising is that this tournament will be organized and played with the utmost integrity, fairness and respect for this great "Gentlemen's Sport". Teams will be playing for a total prize money of US$75,000 and the entry fee is set at US$5000. This is an open tournament and teams from all over are invited to register for the tournament. The cut-off as far as number of teams will be 20, so we implore those interested to register early before all spots are filled. |
